Since 1944, the Holy Ghost Fathers (Spiritans) have provided an all - inclusive education for boys of primary school age.  Today this tradition is continued by a highly qualified dedicated staff who provide a safe and caring learning environment from boys from Junior Infants to Sixth form.  Boys who join the school receive an education which emphasises academic progress in addition to the spiritual, sporting and artistic development of each child.

Everyone in St. Michael's College would like to take this opportunity to wish all the parents, grandparents, minders and helpers a very Happy Christmas and of course a Happy New Year.

Recently all the classes in the school performed mini concerts in the Merrion Centre. The classes all sang Christmas carols such as Silent Night and Away in a Manger, and also more festive songs like Jingle Bells. It was obvious by all who watched the boys how much enjoyment they get out of singing such well loved songs. The boys were also able to raise €2174.39 in donations from their parents, grandparents and other onlookers. All the money will go towards the local St. Vincent de Paul. Many thanks to everyone who donated money.

Thank you to all the boys for their very generous gifts of food for the poor. The boys first presented their gifts in front of the school crib, sang a hymn and then said Prayers of the Faitful. As you can see from the pictures, once again this year we managed to collect a large volume of food which has since been collected and brought to a shelter in the city centre. We really hope that it will help some families that may be less fourtunate than us over the Christmas period.
