Since 1944, the Holy Ghost Fathers (Spiritans) have provided an all - inclusive education for boys of primary school age.  Today this tradition is continued by a highly qualified dedicated staff who provide a safe and caring learning environment from boys from Junior Infants to Sixth form.  Boys who join the school receive an education which emphasises academic progress in addition to the spiritual, sporting and artistic development of each child.

The author Jackie Burke visited St. Michael's on Monday, November 21st. Many of you might be very familiar with Jackie's very successful series of books Grindlewood. The boys in Third and Fourth Form were delighted to be able to hear the author read passages from her novels and to also be able to ask questions about the writing process and what it is like to be a writer. Thank you very much Jackie for coming to see us!

The official opening of the new outdoor facilities in St. Michael's took place on Saturday, November 12th. Fr Pat McGlynn CSSp gave a blessing and the ribbon was then cut. Everyone who attended was given a tour of the new facilities with a number of illustrative sporting activities, with boys from both the Junior and Senior schools taking part. Many thanks to all parents and pupils who attended the event.
