Since 1944, the Holy Ghost Fathers (Spiritans) have provided an all - inclusive education for boys of primary school age.  Today this tradition is continued by a highly qualified dedicated staff who provide a safe and caring learning environment from boys from Junior Infants to Sixth form.  Boys who join the school receive an education which emphasises academic progress in addition to the spiritual, sporting and artistic development of each child.

Congratulations to all the boys in First Year on winning the U 13's Cup. The boys beat Blackrock in the final. Junior School past pupil Henry McErlean scored the winning try. This was the third trophy that the team has won this year having already taken home the league and Clongowes 7's earlier this year. There were a number of boys on the team who still have younger brothers in the Junior School.

Congratulations to the boys in Sixth Form who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday, March 22nd. The Chief Celebrant on the day was Monsignor Paul Callan, past pupil of St. Michael's whose presence added so much to the occasion. Sincere thanks to Ms. Crowe, Mr. O'Neill and Mr. Monaghan for preparing the boys so well and to Fr. McGlynn C.S.Sp. for his guidance to the boys throughout the year. We are also grateful to Ms. Larkin and the choir for the beautiful singing which greatly enhanced the ceremony. The choir were accompanied by Ms.

The first ever swimming club in St. Michael's College Junior school started this term and has proven very successful. The students involved in the Otters Swimming Club have trained with great determination and have shown great confidence in all their strokes as the weeks progressed. The team will attend the Willow Cup Gala next Wednesday 29th March. This will be their first competition as a team this year and we wish them all the best. We would like to thank the Parents Association for supplying swim kit for the team, it is greatly appreciated.
